My name is Gloria Kim and I am the proud mother of three children.

At a young age my son was bitten by a tick and subsequently has been dealing with chronic Lyme and other tickborne infections for the last 14 years. 

After experiencing and watching my son's daily suffering for years, it was easy to lose myself in saving him and eventually the joy in my household disappeared. As a caretaker, I worked tirelessly to keep my son alive and was constantly in a state of despair and survival. 

And as much as I wanted to be there for my other two healthy children, the struggle of saving my son overwhelmed me and I lost myself. As a result, I was not ever able to be fully present for my other children or my husband, and my relationships with them suffered and many years were lost. I realized that this was not the way for me to keep living and started to make changes in my life so that I could make room for more time with myself and my entire family. I healed myself and my family and was able to bring back a level of joy, connectedness and love that had been missing in our home.

I realized that this is something that happens to many other parents who have a chronically ill child as well as caretakers who are looking after people they love. I did not want other people to miss out on the years of laughter and joy with their family and themselves like I did. This is why I became a Transformational Joy Coach for Caretakers.

I help caretakers get back to their essence of who they are so they can be joyful again and help transform their lives to be in a space of gratitude.
